Who is Tyler Burnette?

Tennessee Raised

Tyler Burnette lives with his wife, Hailey, and son, Theo, in Spring Hill, TN.  He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but was raised by his single mother, Jamie, in Livingston, TN since he was around nine years old.  He attended high school at Livingston Academy and graduated in 2012.  Afterwards, he received a Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration from Tennessee Technological University in 2016.  In 2017, he spent two months hiking with a friend on a section of the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain, GA to Pearisburg, VA and moved to Nashville with his wife that fall to start his post-graduate career and new life.

Construction Manager

Tyler has always had a passion for building and decided to begin his professional career in Construction Management in 2017.  Starting as an Assistant Superintendent he quickly moved his way up the ranks to Superintendent and then Project Manager.  He has worked in everything from ground-up luxury residential and multi-family construction to foundation repair and small remodels.  His attention to detail and problem solving skills allow him to tackle difficult challenges both personally and professionally.  He hopes to bring this same work ethic and ability to solve difficult problems to the Tennessee State Legislature to help make our work for all of its citizens effectively.

Prioritizes Family And Enjoys Nature

He married his wife in 2022 and they had their first son in 2024. Tyler spends most of his days with his wife and son at home and can think of no better way to spend his time than relaxing with them in their back yard. He loves to watch his son grow every day while he grows older with his wife. With a young child at home he finds himself having less free time these days, but when he does have the ability to do something he enjoys kayaking, hiking and camping.  Any opportunity to be outdoors and enjoy the natural beauty of our state is cherished. His primary purpose in running for the Tennessee State Legislature is so that he can help preserve the state's natural resources and improve his community so that it can continue to be an environment for every resident to thrive and create a better future for the generations that follow us.
